Masiela Lusha was born Masiela at Tirana Albania. She is an actress, writer, as well as a human rights activist. Lusha is the sole child to parents Max and Daniela Lusha. Brink was 14 when she became pregnant, and dropped out of school. Davion was her son who was born at age 14. Brink moved into an in-law apartment to earn money. Brink started her own group Pulse which was based in Albany New York. The band mainly opened for local bands such as Coal Chamber or Sevendust. In the end, members of the band split together. At the age of twenty-five, she moved to California in the state of California to Los Angeles, looking for her big break. While searching for a band Brink was working in shops and performed in coffee shops and in bars. Then, two years later, she met now-band singer Chris Howorth at an audition. Howorth turned down her application because she was female. After listening to her, Howorth changed his decision and then apologized. Along with drummer Jeff Fabb they formed the group they dubbed Dying Stars. Blake Bunzel, Josh Newell and Josh Bunzel later joined to the band. After two gigs the group changed its title changed to In This Moment.
